Are you feeling exceptionally strained, and do you sleep poorly, compared to normal? Or has the strain started to affect your memory? Then you are already showing signs of physical stress symptoms, which at worst can lead to a notification of illness. Therefore, it is extremely important to take stress symptoms seriously and to make sure to avoid the stress. In this blog entry, we will provide some of the tools that will help you to keep the stress at bay.
How to find the direction away from stress
If you recognized a lot of the things, we described in the blog entry “What is stress and why do you get it?”, then it might be time to change some of the ways you act. We often see that people suffering from stress start to exclude themselves from the outside world. However, this has the opposite effect and only enhances the feeling of being lonely. Therefore, it can be really important to try and let in your surroundings again. It is this process that we can help you accomplish among other things.
Structure is crucial for a manageable way out of stress.
However, the right structure is subjective. Below we come up with some suggestions for some methods that can help you create structure in your own course of treatment:
- A 5-point process for self-handling
Click here and download our e-book, where we mention the structural method “5-point plan” on pages 6-11. The plan is a series of points you need to follow when you experience the feeling of stress sneaking in. It helps you relieve your stressed mind in a controlled way.
Continue to follow the points until the feeling of strain is released. Perhaps some of the points do not feel natural to you? This is no problem. You can easily modify the plan to suit your individual needs. The important thing here is to have some concrete steps ready to relieve you of the feeling of stress when it occurs.
- A career and life plan
A career and life plan can be an incredibly effective tool to ensure that you have an anchor, both professionally and privately, if your foundation begins to crack beneath you. However, it is important that you make sure you organize the preparation of the plans well and make sure you have the peace to make them, as otherwise, they can have the opposite effect. So make sure you sit down comfortably and allow yourself to step out of the hustle and bustle. If you can not, it is a great indicator that you need help in another way.
What do such two plans look like?
Your career and life plan is a product of exactly your journey towards your goals, and therefore no two plans are alike. However, we have prepared a template and show here a concrete example of a career plan that you can use as inspiration. The example was prepared by one of our clients who has had great success with it. You need 10 minutes to complete the plan.
Example of a career plan
In the career plan, we work with the following questions:
- What do I want to work with?
- What do I want to work as?
- Where do I want to work?
- How do I make sure I stick to the plan?
Here is a concrete example of how the career plan works:
What do I want to work with?
o Optimizing and planning
o Tax provision
o Tax audits
What do I want to work as?
- Tax Manager
- Tax Director
Where do I want to work?
- An international concern in Denmark with the possibility to be stationed abroad
- In Central Jutland where the commute to work is no longer than one hour
- In a company with a good reputation in the public
How do I make sure that I stick to the plan?
- Update, review and add to my plan the next couple of days
- Improve my knowledge of Evernote or other electronic tools that can help me keep track of my plan
- Evaluate the plan regularly every year
Maybe it’s an idea to take it up for consideration once a year? Your career and life goals change throughout life, and so should your plans. By reassessing them once a year, you are sure that your plans are always fully updated on your goals.
